Meet 2020 in PANTONE's 'Classic Blue' Colour of the Year!

Every year, for 20 years, Pantone has been releasing a colour that they call colour of the year. Selecting the colour is a careful process, made up of looking at colour influences all over the world. Experts look at a number of influences, such as film, entertainment, travel destinations and fashion, before they name the colour of the year. The Pantone colour of the year heavily influences the fashion industry in terms of design and trends. The Pantone colour institute has named Pantone 19-4052 ‘Classic Blue’ the colour of the year for 2020.

The colour is a gorgeous, classic royal blue. Blue is a very fashion forward colour and has recently gained popularity due to it being seen at fashion shows worldwide. The Pantone colour institute describes the shade as follows; ‘Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.’
